ROSSVILLE HISTORICAL DISTRICT

HISTORICAL HOME TOUR: Held yearly by the Historical Committee (Private Group). Tour old homes in the area. This is a walking tour. Arts and craft by local artist are available, as well as a lunch or refreshments.

ROSSVILLE’s National Hitorical District was established in 2001, encompassing areas in the northern part of town around Main St., Front St. and Second Streets. A large percentage of these homes were built in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. These homes offer a broad variety of architectural styles and sizes. The selling prices of these homes vary considerably, as most historical housing markets do, contigent on site, age, size, and condition. Since being added to the National Resgister of Historic places, the Historical District has worked to retain the “Town” and “Village” feel in addition to preserving Rossville’s history. Their purpose: Keep all things that make Rossville “quaint” and different.

FAYETTE COUNTY ANIMAL RESCUE (FCAR)

Is a no-kill, non-profit humane organization dedicated to rescuing the sick, injured, abused, abandoned and neglected animals of Fayette County.

FOUNDED In 1998: Fayette County Animal Rescue is located in one of the largest counties in the State of Tennessee. Each month Animal Control picks up on the average 130 animals a month. All of these animals are euthanized after 72 hours. FCAR is the only No-Kill, No Cages Animal Shelter in Fayette County.

We have an annual budget of $100,000 to keep operational. Your donations are very important to our mission. With our spay/neuter policies we believe that among us all, we can bring an end to the killing of homeless pets within the next 10 years. Please join us in helping make this dream a reality

Mission
